Inspiration and Appreciation

With this being the month for the start of a major holiday (Thanksgiving), I wanted to write a blog post to share what inspires me and what I am grateful for. I would call this my “inspiration and appreciation” post to share with you all. You will find that I am getting a little personal on this as I want this to show you a little bit more of who I am. Thank you to everyone I speak about in this post. You play a part in making my life what it is today.

  • Art: Art of any kind is beautiful in its own way, whether it’s an individual’s tattoos, a photographer capturing that rare candid moment during a client session, an independent musician who is putting in all the blood, sweat and tears they must penetrate the music industry or the artist who puts in countless hours of painting/drawing with hopes of selling their work and one day having an exhibit.

  • Entrepreneurship:  It’s a tough decision to venture out on your own and invest in yourself once you have a plan but sticking with it and never giving up is very inspiring.

  • My Clients: This goes hand in hand with the above inspiration and appreciation statement. I wouldn’t have my business if it weren’t for my clients. They believe in me and I couldn’t be more thankful for that.

  • Music: I love it! There’s songs when I’m in a good mood, songs that cheer me up when I’m in a not so good mood and songs I listen to when I just want to relax and unwind from a stressful day.

  • Perseverance:  Life knocks us down but when an individual decides that they won’t let that stop them and picks themselves back up and continues moving forward, yeah that is inspiring!

  • My Nana: I could write and talk about her all day if you let me! Tough as nails but a great big heart. Unfortunately, Alzheimer’s has reared its ugly head into her life and although she’s slowly slipping away, I know deep down she’s still there fighting to stay with us.

  • Forgiveness: The ability to forgive and move on and live life is something special and when it happens, without resentment-it is beautiful.

  • Emergency Service Professionals: Police, Fire, EMT. If you put your life on the line daily to help protect and save lives, I salute you. And THANK YOU for everything that you do.

  • My Friends: They have helped me through tough times and celebrated with me in good times. They continuously show me the kind of love that exists through respect and mutual adoration.

  • Smiling: We all have days where we are not in the mood to smile. But if you come across a person who has a smile available even when you don’t-then that is everything.

  • Faith: The ability to have faith when times are hard. Faith that no matter what the sun will rise, life will move on and things will be okay someway, somehow even though it may not seem like it at the time.

  • My Parents: 46 years of marriage and counting. It’s simply a blessing to be married this long and an inspiration to me to strive for that longevity in my marriage!

  • My Husband: For supporting me in everything I do and encouraging me to go further. Thank you for those “you can do it” moments because without those I would have just simply given up and walked away.

Have a great Thanksgiving and share your love with the people you hold close to your heart.
